Our half marathon runners! What a fantastic achievement for everybody involved, it was lovely to see our school values shine through the children last Saturday.

An extra special mention…

India inspired us all with her efforts this week! India has chosen to donate her hair to the ‘Little Princess Trust’ – a charity that provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer. India was inspired to do this after knowing what a difference a real hair wig has made to people close to her. She is also raising money for Little Princess Trust to help produce the wigs. If you would like to donate towards this fantastic cause, India will be bringing her sponsorship form in next week. Well done India, we are all very proud of you and the difference you are making.

Congratulations to all our winners this week!

Year 2 Multi-Sports Event

Some of our Year 2 children were selected to take part in a ‘multi-sports’ event at The Corbet School. They took part in activities such as penalty shoot-out, hurdles, obstacle courses and their favourite..the three legged race! They all had a fantastic time, and were super representatives of our school.

The Story of Easter

Some of the Bumblebees have been learning about how and why Christians celebrate Easter. We read The Story of Easter and then the children re-enacted the story using our loose parts and small world people. The children made a cross and a cave using wooden sticks, shells, stones and wood.

The children were able to retell the story of Easter using the small world people.

Freddie ‘Jesus had lots of friends.’
Nancy ‘Some bad men put Jesus on a cross because they thought he did bad things.’
Julian ‘He sad.’
Laith ‘The bad men put nails in his hands and feet to make him stay on the cross.’
Alfie ‘Jesus died on the cross.’
Rosie ‘ Some men carried Jesus to a cave.’
Tommy ‘They put a rock in front of the cave.’
Phoenix ‘Mary went to the cave and saw a man.’
Ethan ‘Jesus said ‘I am alive again.”
