Weekly Celebrations – happy half-term! :)

Posted on October 27, 2023 by Jen Whittingham

HAPPY HALF TERM! Well done to all our fantastic children for achieving so much this half-term – we look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday 7th November (PD Day for teachers on Monday) for the run-up to Christmas 🙂

Firstly, in case you missed it, we are very proud of the grand total from our Wear It Pink campaign last week… a whopping £476.69!! Well done and thank you Team Ruyton!

Weekly Celebrations

Tennis Festival @ The Shrewsbury Club

See this link: Tennis Championship update for our fantastic trip where some of our children played tennis then watched professional players at the Shrewsbury Club!

Tag Rugby Team

School Value Ambassadors (earning House Points with one pupil chosen each week per year group, awarded by teachers for showing one of our school values):

Year 6 – Alice for ‘Wisdom’ and ‘Trust’ – Alice has shown a really grown-up attitude as a Year 6, especially in our PSHE. She’s led our weekly Worships beautifully too!

Year 5 Skyler for ‘Respect’ :  Skyler always does her best to meet the expectations of the class and achieve her potential.

Year 4 Robyn for ‘Perseverance’: For always trying her best in all her work this term.

Year 3 Sophia for ‘Perseverance’: Sophia has worked fantastically this week, trying her best.

Year 2 Dougie for ‘Respect’ and ‘Wisdom’: Dougie can always be relied upon to make good choices. He is super sensible and a good role-model to others.

Year 1 Kallum for ‘Trust’, ‘Love’ and ‘Respect’: Kallum has been working really hard this term to make the right choices. His listening, concentration and attitude towards school is getting better everyday. Well done Kallum.

Reception Cody for ‘Trust’ and ‘Perseverance’: Cody shows a positive attitude to all areas of his learning. He is always willing to have a go. We are so proud of you Cody!

Bumblebees Freddie for ‘for always doing the right thing!’

Raffle ticket winners (awarded by staff for lining-up or behaviour around school)

Plus an extra winner in Dragonflies Class as they had the most tickets this week, and another for Hedgehogs for being the superstars of Worship this week 👏

Congratulations to all our winners this week!

Other celebrations:

Hallie has earned this fabulous Halloween medal for her recent participation at a gymnastics competition. Well done Hallie!

Finally, a big well done to India and Amber who asked to perform some poetry they have written themselves following their work in English this week. Not only was the poetry (about endangered species) high quality work, but they delivered it with clarity, expression and off-by-heart!
