Weekly Celebrations 1st December

Posted on December 1, 2023 by Jen Whittingham

Christmas production practise is well-underway this week for different classes – thank you to all those who are helping to learn the words at home! Meanwhile, Christmas has begun in all the classrooms today – a naughty elf has even visited Rabbit Class!

GOLDEN BOOK AWARDS

Congratulations to the following Golden Book winners (from class work and stars):

1st Golden Book Award: Memphis, Harriet and Harrison

4th Award: Hallie and Nancy

7th Award: Lexie and Aoife

Weekly Celebrations

School Value Ambassadors (earning House Points with one pupil chosen each week per year group, awarded by teachers for showing one of our school values):

Year 6 – Harvey for ‘Perseverance’ – Harvey has been working hard in all his lessons and giving his best effort.

Year 5 Eva for ‘Wisdom’ and ‘Perseverance’: Eva’s acting has been superb in our play practise, whilst she has learned her words fantastically and given a great effort in class too.

Year 4 Isaac for ‘Perseverance’, ‘Wisdom’: For working hard in all his work and focusing well in Geography.

Year 3 Ruby for ‘Perseverance’ and ‘Friendship’: For persevering in all her work today and being a caring friend when reading with a partner.

Year 2 Toby for ‘Perseverance’ and ‘Wisdom’: Toby has been working really hard on improving his writing – well done!

Year 1 Freddie for ‘Perseverance’ and ‘Wisdom’: Freddie has been working really hard on his independent writing this week – well done!

Reception Oakley for ‘perseverance’: Oakley has tried really hard with his handwriting and is working hard to improve.

Bumblebees Star of the Week! Raya – for always being kind and thoughtful to everyone.

Raffle ticket winners (awarded by staff for lining-up or behaviour around school)

Plus an extra winner for Hedgehog class as they had the most tickets this week, and another for joint-win for being the superstars of Worship this week 👏

Congratulations to all our winners this week!

Other celebrations:

Lucy and Layla created this during their embroidery club with Mrs Gallimore – well done girls – it’s beautiful!

Nancy has earned this badge in her Rainbows for Christmas activities…

Whilst Jackson earned himself Player of the Match at his recent football match for his new club! Awesome Jackson!

Finally, we shared this beautiful piece of embroidery that has been sent in by local villager, Irena White. Incredibly, it was made by 13 year old Mary Carter, a past pupil of Ruyton School… In 1864! She lived at Castle View, Church Street.
