Pupil Premium & Coronavirus (COVID-19) Catch Up Premium

Within the budget planning there are certain areas of spending identified specifically to raise outcomes and attainment for the pupils on free school meals, Looked After Pupils  and Forces children. The needs of these pupils have been assessed and strategies implemented to support improved outcomes for these pupils.  The outcomes of these strategies will vary from one pupil to another and includes a number of areas, for example;

  • increased confidence
  • increased self esteem and awareness of self help strategies
  • increased support with learning – raised achievement in Maths and English
  • parent support helps parents engage more with their child’s learning, makes school more approachable and consequently raises achievement and self esteem for both parents and pupils

During 2020-21, following the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has released funds to support catch-up for pupils in school.
