Vaccinations and winter preparation
Please see a message from Shropshire Council below:
As the new school year is approaching, we would like to ask for your support for the immunisation programme, in particular the uptake of 2 MMR vaccines for everyone and influenza for all children and staff who are eligible. Immunisations help to prevent the spread of vaccine preventable infectious diseases in the setting, some of which have the potential for serious complications. This will also help prevent absences due to sickness for both pupils and staff.
We ask you to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases by sharing this postcard and leaflet (links below) with the parents and guardians of your children:

Shropshire Summer Holiday Fund and Food Programme 2025!
Shropshire Council are delighted to announce that bookings for the Shropshire Summer HAF (Holiday Activities & Food) Programme are now open.
Who can access the HAF programme?
Core Eligibility: Children and young people aged 4 (in reception class) to 16 who are in receipt of benefits related free school meals.
These children and young people will automatically receive a code and information about how to book onto a holiday club from their school.
Wider Eligibility: Children and young people living in areas of high deprivation (top five tiers of deprivation, based on indices of deprivation/income) and/or from low-income households who are not in receipt of benefits related free school meals.
These children and young people can be referred onto the programme by a professional, by completing a referral form.
Paid Places
Many of the HAF programmes also include paid places for children and young people who don’t meet the eligibility criteria. These spaces are generally very heavily subsidised and have been highlighted in the What’s On Guide.
Water Safety!
Please see the attached information sheet from the Child Accident Prevention Trust regarding water safety.
Summer Hunt!
This week, we are learning about the season summer!
