Welcome back Rabbit Class!
We have lots of exciting things to look forward to this term. Our topic is ‘The Great Fire of London’

We ALL have PE on Thursday, and Year 2s (and half of Year1) will have PE on Tuesday when the other half of Year 1s go to Forest School. As the weather is getting cooler can we please request that children come to forest school with hats, gloves, scarves and waterproofs – thank you!
Homework for Autumn Term will be:
- Spellings that are given out every Thursday in children’s homework books to practise.
- Returned by the following Wednesday.
Children will complete their spelling test on Wednesdays, so please encourage them to practise their spellings regularly throughout the week.
Reading for Pleasure is promoted in Rabbit Class, and I am very much looking forward to sharing lots of wonderful books with the children during our Class Read and Story Time. We encourage you to read with your child at home alongside their reading in school, to help foster a love of reading and develop their reading fluency.

We are very fortunate to have a wonderful team supporting the children this year:
- Mrs Gittins will be our Teaching Assistant every morning Monday-Thursday, as well as on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
- Mrs Maund will also be working in our class as a HLTA on a Wednesday morning and a Friday afternoon.
