Dragonfly Class (am) Home Learning Tasks – Monday 20th April

Good morning Dragonflies, I hope you’ve had a lovely Easter break and spent time enjoying the Spring sunshine. I’ve been running and biking daily (very grateful to the Prime Minister the daily exercise allowance) including a 10 mile run today! I’ve spent time practising my piano too – I read somewhere that it takes 10,000 hours of practise to master a skill so thought I’d add a few hours on my journey – I’ll be jamming with Mrs Hindson before you know it! 🙂

Our daily activities will continue this week.  Do your best, work your way through challenges and ask for timely help if needed.

  1. Reading:  Log into Reading Eggs and follow the activities.
  2. Spellings: Access the link below for your year group and learn the set list. You could print the handwriting sheet OR present it in your Homework Pack.

3. Maths: We are going to be using some daily lessons from White Rose Maths (website).  The link for your year group is below, please complete Lesson 1.  Each lesson has a short teaching clip, an activity and the answers. You could print the sheet or simply write your answers on paper or in your book (as we do in class).

4. English:

Your grammar task links to pronouns this week. For revision, firstly check out this link:

Then, access this activity book in the link below. Again, write answers on paper (or in Home Packs) or print out the booklet.

Pronouns Home Pack

Aim to complete ‘Grammar Boy’ and ‘Priscilla Pronoun’ today (p.2/3&4). We’ll continue with this during the week.

Other ideas for Monday:

  • PE: Design a circuit station with 8 – yes 8! – exercises. How long will you spend on each one? Will you play music to exercise to?
  • Languages: Learn 10 capital cities and their country.
  • TT Rockstars:  The Inter House Tournament continues! Play ‘Battle’ to earn your team points.

I hope you all have a good day and don’t forget to do your bit to help at home. Remember, if there’s anything you’d like to share then you can send it to school through the school admin address.

Take care, all of you.

Miss Whit 🙂
