As part of our Harvest learning, we used fresh, locally grown vegetables to create a delicious soup. Along the way, we developed important skills such as kitchen hygiene, safe cutting techniques, and peeling. It was a wonderful hands-on experience—and the soup tasted amazing!

Recently at Forest School, we discovered the work of famous artist Andy Goldsworthy, who creates stunning pieces using natural materials. Inspired by his creativity, we studied some of his artwork and then set out to design our own nature-based creations. We’re so proud of the results—take a look at what we made!

Last week, Kris showed us how to create beautiful stars using willow branches. It was a real challenge at first, but with plenty of perseverance—and a little help from the adults—we succeeded! The results were amazing, and we’re so proud of what we achieved.

The recent skipping workshop has transformed playtimes at our school! Children from all age groups have embraced skipping with enthusiasm, enjoying both individual challenges and lively group games using the new ropes we purchased after the workshop. Over the past few weeks, we’ve loved watching their skills grow and their confidence soar. Skipping has not only brought energy and fun to the playground but has also encouraged teamwork and cooperation, leading to more harmonious and happy playtimes for everyone.

Hedgehog Class have been learning all about squares and rectangles today. Their first task was to sort shapes into two groups – shapes with 4 sides and shapes that do not have 4 sides.
After that, they were challenged to make a square and a rectangle using lollypop sticks. This wasn’t quite as easy as we initially thought!

Applications should be made using the online facility. The link for this can be found on the following website – Admissions Applications.
Please note that the online facility is open from 3 November 2025. You must apply by 15 January 2026. If there’s a reason why your application is late, eg due to a house move, please email school-admissions@shropshire.gov.uk to advise – there may be exceptional reasons to be considered.
Applications received after 15 January, without exceptional reasons, are considered late. Late applications won’t be processed until all the applications received on time have been allocated. This may result in your child not being offered a school place at you preferred school.
