Here are today’s home learning tasks:
This link will take you to the phonics lessons:
Reception, your lesson will be uploaded at 10am. Year 1s, your lesson will be uploaded at 10:30am. If you feel like you need a bit of extra practice there is another lesson at 11:00am that focuses on blending sounds. After they have been uploaded the videos are available to view at any time throughout the day.
If you’re struggling to concentrate for the full video, try doing it in sections and have a break between each bit.
Fine Motor Skills:
Have a go at one of the activities from the grid below.
Practise your handwriting and learn how to form the long ladder letters.
Reception: This week your learning will be based on the book ‘The dinosaur that pooped a planet’!
Year 1: This week you will be finding halves and quarters.
Today you will be finding a quarter.
Reception: Today you will commit the story of Supertato, by Sue Hendar and Paul Linnet, to memory by drawing a story map to represent each part. We will then talk through the story using the map. You can extend this lesson by thinking of an action to represent each part.
Year 1: Today you are going to plan your own poem, thinking carefully about what you learnt about rhyming in Lesson 2. You will need a piece of plain paper and a pencil.
Wildlife Wednesday – have a go at creating a masterpiece outside! Make a natural photo frame to capture your work. Nature Photo Frame
