We have been learning all about rocks and soil this term in science. Last week we investigated soil to find out the different particles that we could find in it (including worms and caterpillars). We then made a prediction to whether we thought soil had any air in it. We then added water and observed what happened. We found bubbles appear, this showed us that soil contains air, we then discussed why soil might need air.
