St John the Baptist Day Service & Picnic

We had a special day on Friday for our annual St John the Baptist Day Church Service & Picnic. The children contributed towards a colourful service where they performed and displayed their work on ‘The Magic Paintbrush’ following a workshop with the Spring Dance Company a few weeks ago.

Following the service, we took a moment to remember two special members of our school family, Mick and Nicola, as Reverend Burns dedicated two beautiful fruit trees in their memory.

Thank you to all the family members and friends who then stayed for a sunny picnic with the children and staff; it was lovely to have the company of so many of you whilst we could also enjoy our beautiful sensory garden in full bloom – many thanks to Alison Lister. We also had a very special visitor as Mrs Foulkes returned with granddaughter Laila to receive her farewell gifts! A special day in the sunshine at St John’s, thank you to all involved.
